and because it is all sweetness and light..and somehow your brain is saying thats wrong...weres the angst ;p

and I am baised, because I like how you write Huntress..and I liked how this story developed...yeah I can see a bump or two...but it still works. I am guessing you want to marry the visuals with the dialogue better.

While reading I almost forgot that all the abandoned crying poor little things I found on the street and took under my roof, grew into clawly beasts ruling the house the district, killing all birds, scaring my neighbours and screaming all nights under my window, not to mention their other unwritable manners:D
I really do love cats. It's my luck I guess :).
