First, happy birthday, aster_dw! Or is that belated now? And cheer up, too. Gotta have hope in the good people. Or else go insane.Second, I finally broke down and watched the first episode of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu). OMGWTFBBQ??? I was NOT expecting that. I noticed everyone and their cousins blogging this anime but I ( Read more... )

Friends of mine with tastes I belive in, recomended me some of these titles (calling Melancholy EVIL :D), plus some others, with strong 'should watch' on "Higurashi no naku kono ni" compared by them to "Narutaru".
Not that I have time or will to watch, but well...

Thanks! :) No, it's not belated at all. :)
And don't get me wrong, I do believe that there are good people. There's just not enough of them.

Glad, you decided to watch Suzumiya Haruhi after all. I really love it and it goes bloody well with studying Philosophy of Religion. Then again, I'm a sucker for randomness in general...

Surprisingly enough, even though this season is "the season of yuri" and pretty much every popular show has lesbian tendencies, I ended up watching just painfully unromantic Haruhi and Ouran. I suppose they are beautiful and mindless enough. (And besides the instrumental attitude to yuri is getting on my nerves anyway).

Yep, another of the cousins following Haruhi. It's starting to bore me, though. Ep 1 was the best. Might drop it if/when it becomes undisguised romance. Everyone's watching Ouran too, aren't they?

To aster_dw above: Hope you had a good birthday! I think getting some perspective on life is a fine thing. But I'm puzzling over this "instrumental" term -- what exactly is it referring to?

I found myself watching the first episode after watching ep5, because we were showing some friends.. It's really kinda interesting how much more the short movie made sense after that. Another friend and I have resolved to watch all the episodes in Haruhi's order when the show is done.

I'm really looking forward to the next few episodes of Mushishi when they finally come out. Curses, DVD releases!

Agreement with ifuritka's friends about Higurashi. I'm NOT a fan of harem shows, but that thing is not your typical harem show, and is honestly creepy.

(Hi, btw. You may have seen me spamming the LJs of Lynn, Hikki and Nemi. I swear I won't do the same to you.)
