For school I have to do a project in which I have to compare two series with eachother. I've chosen for Grey's Anatomy & ER. And now I'm looking for similarities between this two shows. And I wanna ask you guys for help. So, do you know any? Please comment :D

there's always the obvious "They're both about hospitals" but you can also say that they both focus on ensemble characters, and are both dramas.

man i wish i got an assignment like that! all i had to do in school was write a half hour show. what are you studying?

well here's my 2 cents.

grey's and er are both hospital setting hour long dramas that focus on doctors mostly in their work settings. they both have medical cases based on real cases and we see the interactions of the doctors and their patients. they both also have aspects of the doctors regular lives intertwined into the medicine. benton (from the early er seasons) and burke were both african-american surgeons in big city hospitals. carter (in the beginning) and cristina are both well-off doctors starting out at these hospitals.

But you've probably already got that one, eh? I'd say look at the plot lines, there are a few episodes which are similar in that way. You know, the typical drama stuff: pregnancies, boyfriends, family trouble...
