Lovely pics.

I'd say Texas and Florida may be tied...

You may be right. Also, there's Mississippi and Arizona to be considered.

I always enjoy the pictures that you and Kathryn take. I'm really loving the chapters of Fay Grimmer as well. Every time I read a scene with Mr. B, I picture a darker, sleazier version of John Waters. If that's even possible!

I live in Florida, so I might be biased, but at least this State hasn't paved the way for coathanger abortions nor did Florida produce totalitarian slime like Adolf Bush.

A law was passed several years ago in this State making a Not Guilty verdict possible, but like the OJ murder case - the victim's family will sue in civil court.

I love finding stacked stones. We came upon the start of a very small rock wall on a beach in Waterville, Ireland. The Atlantic waves were tumbling up so many smooth, mid-sized rocks, the sound was thunderous. There was an incomplete 8-10" wall stretching a few yards down the length of the beach, and we stayed long enough to add a few feet to it. There was something very peaceful and satisfying about contributing to such an impermanent project of mysterious origins.

A remarkable chance to add to the wall, and mysterious origins - there's a story there somewhere and I'd like to know but often the truth is mundane to what the imagination creates.

The sky was awesome (in its original meaning, id est "inspiring or displaying awe")

Those are some beautiful, beautiful photos of sand and sea and sky. Thank you.

When you come up to Boston for Cherry Bomb, let me know.
