Yesterday, I wrote 1,324 words on Red Delicious. The ms. is nearing the two-hundred page mark, and the novel is more than half written. Bizarrely (to me, at least), Penguin should be showing me the early mock-ups for the cover any day. I'm pleased with the way the book is coming along. The reset-button day worked this time. Thank you, Point Judith

Every time they register their disapproval, the more I want to take Archer as a role-model.
I fear I'm leaning towards Pan and Cheryl/Carol, which is sort of terrifying, I know.

Enjoyed the book very much, by the way, and am looking forward to the next one. Also, congrats on The Drowning Girl winning the Tiptree, and being nominated for both the Hugo and the Stoker.
Cheers,

Spotted a typo that you may want to address for the next printing of Blood Oranges, or if Quinn happens to use any guns in Red Delicious. In Blood Oranges, she uses a handgun referred to as a ".45mm" It should just be ".45" as that caliber of bullet is .45 of an inch in diameter. A gun that actually was a .45mm caliber would shoot bullets just under half a millimeter in diameter.
You know...every time I write a book with guns - every time - I consult reference books, websites, and even actual gun owners...and shit's still wrong. And I've stopped caring, honestly. Stephen King doesn't even get this stuff right. Presently, Quinn is using a Glock 17 9mm...which I have researched pretty exhaustively, short of holding one. And I know someone will still tell me I have it wrong.
But thanks, all the same.
Also, congrats on The Drowning Girl winning the Tiptree, and being nominated for both the Hugo and the Stoker.
Thank you!
