Yesterday I came up with a title - "Pilgrims and Thunder Lizards."* Might be the right title, might not be. It's a good title, but...

It took me four hours to come up with that title.

Oh, and now I DO have a Turkish publisher, and there will be a Turkish edition of The Drowning Girl. I even ( Read more... )

Just curious: Who’s your Turkish publisher? I had someone contact me interested in translating Bad Glass and I wasn’t sure if it was legit. Claimed to be publishing Danielewski, too.

Publishing is weird. Even the legitimate parts of the business seem somewhat sketchy.

If I'm ever in Istanbul, I'll have to go a-hunting for your novel, just so I can say I have a Turkish edition should I find one.

(Less hypothetically, I have preordered Blood Oranges.)

What would you do with a shoggoth if you had one?

Okay, being stupid here, but the title is for which bit of writing now...?

(And I have this mental image of you going "Now who's a good shoggoth now, yes!" to the attack shoggoth, patting it on the head after it's devoured an internet troll)

That's really rather neat. I have a friend in Ankara for the next two years; I'll ask him to look me out a copy!

What’s this? Is this my shoggoth? It’s massive blob of sooty goo. It grows arms and legs and big teeth too. No, this is a formless spawn of Tsathoggua. This is not my shoggoth!

Where’s my shoggoth?
