"Every move you make, and every vow you break..."

The world piles on the stupid. No one can get enough. The world's appetite for stupidity is, I believe, insatiable. And I become baffled at the strata of stupid. Rules of superposition almost cease to apply, and up becomes down, and down becomes up. For example, I don't know which is worse, the question (below) from Audible.com's review form or the ( Read more... )

Make us think Caitlin. I don't want to do anything else but that.

Thank you.

LJ insists on autocorrecting putz to puts, thereby behaving like a putz.

That is sad. It's too early in the morning for irony.

wow, Briansiano- damn. I was just going to comment on "strata of stupid". Never ever underestimate the depths of stupidity of the public. Of which I am a part of. Never claimed to be other. Should stop now...

A: No, it would have to be changed beyond the meaning of the story so that the average person could follow.

You know, initially I thought this was some kind of left-handed compliment, that they were trying to say that the style of the novel was too complex to easily render in a profitable manner for mainstream film. Which is likely the case, although that's a problem with mainsteam Hollywood, not the novel. I still think this is a reasonably favorable review, but I believe the reader needs to give the book another chance and let it soak in.

Then I scrolled down and found the bullshit "androphobic" review and wondered why the fuck you bother reading these reviews.

I was of the same opinion upon reading that review. But also, I must know what that gun-wielding plague doctor (if that is indeed what it is) in your icon is from!

That would be from Guy Davis' sadly short-lived indie comic The Marquis. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure that story landed him his (recently ended) gig as the artist for B.P.R.D.
