How do I pray?*

---

I don't read much fiction anymore. Spending too much of my life writing too much fiction has made it very hard for me to find fiction that doesn't bore me or piss me off. I try to read, the way I used to read, and, usually, all I can see is a flavorless mess that needs fixing. Because most authors are both dull and/or ham- ( Read more... )

Yes, 'Take your Daughters to Work' was one of the creepier stories in the Mythos vein I've read. Didn't know the author was on LJ *goes off to follow*

Of course I've preordered! Okay, not 10 copies... I'm sorry. And I've just this minute(ish) blogged about it, because we need more Dancy. We do.

Thank YOU! You're one of my favorite authors, so I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the story (and relieved, to be blunt). I have a number of stories online - http://liviallewellyn.com/free-fiction/ - to save you time, the best one is the novella "Her Deepness", which takes place in the same world as "Take Your Daughters". It's also in my first collection - I know you don't have a lot of time to read, but I'd be happy to send you and Spooky a copy, if you'd like.

Images from your collection still give me the whimwhams, Livia. Between you and Caitlin, I'm pretty much in a state of unsettledness.

That's my goal - to give all of my readers the whimwhams!

Livia's collection is well worth reading, all the way through.

I've lost a lot of interest in most books published by major authors. When they're pushing crap on readers like 50 Shades of Shit, I tend to not be interested anymore. Your books are about all that I buy from any of the major publishers.

However, I have discovered a lot of great self-published authors on sites like Smashwords and even Amazon. With the addition of things like the StoryBundle, it's getting easier to find good quality self-published works. Many self-published authors are also hiring good editors, too, so the lines are really starting to get blurred on quality books.
