"And though your skin's sheet white and your arms carry scars..."

I'm listening to Keaton Henson's album. It's a beautiful thing. Utterly fucking beautiful. My thanks to whoever was kind enough to send it to me. Outside, the sun is coming and going, and the ceiling of clouds has, mercifully, been shattered. It's only 57˚F right now, and it likely won't go higher than 66˚F, and, even here in Providence, this is a ( Read more... )

I so so agree with that reviewer from Kabooom that you just quoted.

Dancy is exactly my kind of heroine; like my fav in Game of Thrones/Fire & Ice: ARYA. Complex, driven, reluctant. Brave by virtue of doing difficult things, not by some one-dimensional standard of 'heroic'. Women of wit and grit.

Someone else - can't recall who - made the Arya comparison, and it seemed fairly apt.

Wow. I've just started watching Game of Thrones, and there are two characters I love - Arya (the daughter I'd want if I adopted) and Tyrion (complex, witty, kind but sarky.) Anyway, that's a good summation of Dancy. I've fallen in love with her in a way I couldn't from Threshold. And Maisie, too. Even that smart-arse blackbird. (Some of us readers are unrepentant whores.) Anyway, A:W2 is ace. I think I know where you're going. I'm also confident you'll wrongfoot me. So, trip me up, Beast.

I live to trip.

That could have multiple meanings, couldn't it.

Anyway...Game of Thrones. I've only seen Season One, but I must admit to loving the heck outta Daenerys Targaryen.

Kudos on the great reviews for Alabaster Wolves #2.

The Doom That Came to Atlantic City looks fabulous. Dear IRS: Send me back my money.

When 4 seperate people, from 4 seperate backgrounds recommend this kickstarter to me, I must give into the pressure. Plus, the figures look damn good. And my lair needs more mini Great Old Ones running around.

Here's a Kickstarter project that I absolutely have to encourage you to support.

*glares at calendar* Payday, why are you so slow? Also, payday, why are you so small?

Will be picking up Alabaster #2 over the weekend, I think.

Payday, why are you so slow? Also, payday, why are you so small?

These are my two eternal questions.

Will be picking up Alabaster #2 over the weekend, I think.

Thank you!

Actually... you won't get charged until the end date for the project. I remembered that last night when we were trying to decide if we were donating now or later.

Great reviews. As they bloody well should. This comic is something special.
Should receive #2 either today or Monday and then I'll have that beautifully brilliant cover in my hands to drool over.

"Bad Glass" looks like an interesting read. I will definitely consider getting a copy.

And as for "The Doom That Came to Atlantic City", the only thing I need to work out is which backer level I can afford. Lee's artwork alone is worth the price, let alone the figures.

And now, assembly day for Sirenia Digest #77 begins. By the way, this issue reprints the Dancy story, "Highway 97," which has never appeared anywhere since that long, long out-of-print subpress chapbook.

Oh, Aunt Beast. How you spoil us!

Greg's covers should come with drool guards.

I will definitely consider getting a copy.

Please do.
