Am greatly looking forward to this release. When I first saw the trailer I thought it cool Helen Mirren would be Prospero...but in an interview last week Taymor stated that Prospero was re-written (or re-imagined) as a Mother figure. This should truly prove interesting. I wait.

This sounds great. And then I discovered it wasn't out in the UK until March. Damn it!

Watching it again, it still looks impressively lovely, but I wish the only person of color wasn't playing Caliban, after some reflection, that feels rather disturbing. I may be less bothered when I actually see it, but having at least one other actor of color would have felt less problematic (at least to me).
