I know most of you have absolutely no idea what I'm on about, but that's a good thing.
Given the astonishing condemnation (not to mention the illustrative pejorative), I'd have to agree that I really don't want to know anything more about it.
...Spooky's is making me go Outside today to see my neurologist...
I sense readercon attendance vaporizing in the near future.
I adored "The Alchemist's Daughter" and hope you write more of it eventually. (Hearing tales of Sála's travels would be fantastic, too. She and the places she's gone seem fascinating.)
"The Mermaid of the Concrete Sea" was lovely. (Well, maybe "lovely" isn't quite the right word considering. . . but I enjoyed it.)
I hope your neurologist is able to make the visit worthwhile.
Sorry about the seizure. All the internet well wishes amount to nothing in the meat world, I'm aware of that, still I really wish you the best and hope that somehow, someway, they find a way to rid you of them.

"The Mermaid of the Concrete Ocean" - a beautiful story. I love it that you write about art. Just like the library in The Dreaming contains books that have never been written, I think there's also a gallery containing the works of all your artists.
"The Alchemist's Daughter" - I think you can definitely write Dunsanian fantasy. I hope you finish this story, it is very intriguing. And I'm a fan of the eroticized thrill of intellectual discovery.
Also, thank you for introducing me to the work of Sonya Taaffe, I just bought "Singing Innocence and Experience" and am really enjoying it.

"I couldn't invent this stuff up if I tried."
That's a helluva a statement for an author to make. ]heheh[
This is the reason I always carry a pen and paper. I eavesdrop on public conversations and write down the good bits.
