"Glimmering and vast, out in the tranquil bay."

I didn't write an entry yesterday because Sunday was the sort of writing day that hardly bears mentioning. I wrote twenty eight words. No, really. And having done that, I realized that I needed to read back over Chapter Six of The Red Tree before going deeper into Chapter Seven...so I read it aloud to Spooky, who was patient and listened. And there ( Read more... )

lrm, byron, the sea, elf pr0n, moa, gaming, writing, silk, rhode island, the red tree

Thank you. Oh, and I've met gnomes. But I expected them to be tiny.

I'll sign, of course. As Bloodlovely.

Danke. That gets me to...4 down, 6 to go.

Ooh, Atticus Ross and Claudia Sarne...

There was a first album that got shelved that is even less industrial and more tripped and slipped.

They did the music for the US version of the TV show "Touching Evil" and it was so delightful.

Atticus went on to being Trent's go-to collaborator.

She hugged me once and I wore her glitter for days afterward. Live, she was bloodied and haunted to start and got crazier throughout.

She also sang for the band nearLy and it isn't as dancy and stompy, more moodscapes and downturns...

I was sort of bummed, reading on their website that the band's new album is stuck in limbo, and realizing that My Big Hero is from 1998. I hate when I miss cool things.

They, along with Prick and others, got caught when nothing records imploded, but Atticus was all over "Ghosts I-IV" and Claudia's nearLy is a former touring member of NIN or two, so they've kept going in the biz. I don't think the Touching Evil TV show soundtrack got released, but that was only a few years ago and shows that they're still working together some, so, yes, I hate missing cool things too, but Atticus and Claudia (who I remember was a big Curtis Mayfield fan) are still cool, just even more obscure than they were back then...

This is not a book with a happy ending. Maybe my grimmest ending ever, even more so than in Silk and Low Red Moon and Murder of Angels.

May you have hope still elsewhere.

I found my first Anomia simplex (jingle shell).

That's a rite of passage. The beach is letting you in.

I think if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to write such a bleak novel.

Then I am grateful.

I am glad to hear it!

I don't think I'd even made that connection until just now.

Hello from Redstone Alabama. Yes I was surprised with the sudden with the RP. I was still under the impression it was still just a game. Either way is fine with me. I imagine though when I return you'll be hitting the 30's and then you might meet my cannibalistic druid.

Also when I return I'll have presents :D
