Well, actually, the figurine itself is fairly dark. And, anyway, it already sold. :-)

I approve. I found that poem as a very small child in my grandmother's Books of Knowledge, and for obvious reasons it stayed with me.

Longfellow isn't a favorite poetic of mine, and I don't think I'd read that one in decades, but suddenly it was appropriate.
