cooler weather and cicadas

Sirens in the distance, but that's nothing unusual.

Yesterday, I did 1,180 words on "Little Conversations" (née "Salammbô Redux"), which will be appearing next month in Clarkesworld. So, a good writing day.

Later, there was Doctor Who; a fine episode, I thought. Martha Jones wins hands down over Rose Tyler, I fear. Others would say I'm arguing ( Read more... )

Which reminds me: I need to toss "Trois Freres" over toward Bill. He might find some use for it once it's done and officially set in stone (i.e., finalized).

He might also like "Li'l Ditty 'bout Jack and Diane" and some others, too.

I've realized that everything I've been writing lately is just designed to somehow trick Emilie Autumn into going out with me. Note: I said "go out with me"--I doubt it would get further than dinner. I would either bore her to tears with my dusty old pedantry or creep her out so royally she'd run for the hills.

That's a thought. He might. But probably not if it's already up online elsewhere.

Well, I can work that out with him. I can easily take the final versions of the stories down if he wants to print them. I consider the online "serialized" versions to be really nothing more than public first drafts.
