Dean needs to be invited up here...Maybe THAT would cool something off.

My roommate bought the makings for mint juleps. It's so hot, he's made himself a stereotype. That he even admits that it's hot is rare; he spent part of his childhood in Panama.

Each in herhisits respective world, authors are Nature or the gods or demons or the sleeping mind set loose to perceive...

Thank you. This is the first thing to create some will to write that I have found in months, a perspective to look at the whole thing from that is changed enough from my usual modus operandi that it might actually work.

Thank you.

You're welcome. Though it wasn't really meant as a positive statement.

I'm seeing it as neither positive or negative. Like I said, it's a different way to look at my creative process that might free something.

Mind if I quote you? I promise to give all due credit. :)

I have to somehow fill in the blank space between the postcard that Salmagundi received from Los Angeles in 1973 and now, all those 34 years that have elapsed, and in my head, Salammbô was always the one who got away, but now I begin to suspect she didn't truly get away, after all.

I was re-reading Tales of Pain and Wonder a few days ago and I stopped on that last paragraph; it seemed that very few people in your worlds do get away. I have been wondering if Emmie Silvey might be the first.

Excellent, I've never seen the phrase religious pollution before. Can't find any other references. Is this a completely new turn of phrase.

Is this a completely new turn of phrase.

Now I shall have to write a definition.
