And here it is 12:57 p.m., and out there it's 97F and feels like 103F. The high is forecast at 100F. We've tried to get through this heat wave - and this summer, in general - without air conditioning. Environmental concerns, bad sinuses, and trying to keep the power bill down. But I have written nothing for four days now, because it's been too hot ( Read more... )

I love Abney Park. The lead singer actually has an LJ, he'd probably love to know you're a fan!

Just since the publication of Daughter of Hounds and the mmp publication of Threshold I have actually been able to find your books in bookstores. This excites me greatly since now I can actually find your books in Idaho, of all places. I also found another Kiernan fan, which was also quite exciting.

I hope it bodes well for your career that your books are now being read and sold in a state that seems to be 20 years behind the rest of the country.

Good luck for sales, and for the Beowulf release, which I hope will increase your readers and books sold, since I am selfish and only want you to write more books.

If only I could do the same in Canada! It took me the longest time to even find a copy of Daughter of Hounds in a bookstore, and it remains the only Kiernan book I've ever seen in one.

And for this reason am I forced to be grateful for online bookslellers.

How sad :(.

I remember looking all over the west, and not finding her anywhere. But now... :). I even found a copy olf To Charles Fort, with Love in an indy bookshop in Utah back in February.

Hopefully it will only be a short time before she's easily found in Canada, too. Perhaps Beowulf will help that.

You know what? I'm just gonna take the higher road and remove my previous comment. I should put drame in your LJ...sorry about that. Bad manners.

Thank you. :-)

But while we're on the subject, if you want to talk about difficult people, pray you never find yourself so unfortunate that you have to work with me, for I am a right fucking asshole, most times...

Hey, you're listed in Wikipedia's List of Fictional Books.
Just before Stephen King.
