By now,
Sirenia Digest subscribers ought to have #17, which Spooky sent out at about one a.m. this morning. However we had at least five bounces, so if you are a subscriber and you have not received #17, you should promptly e-mail Spooky at crk(unnderscore)books(at)yahoo(dot)com. I'm very pleased with how this issue came together. Comments

"What at first I thought would and, indeed, intended to be a story about Dead Girl and Bobby ended up being much more about Scarborough and Saben. But that's the way it goes, for me at least."
So you'll have to write another one about them . . .
Please convey my thanks to Vince for the illustration!

That's what I was thinking. Maybe two, even.

I would approve of that.
Have you ever considered putting together a book of yellow-house stories? At this point, the only ones that I know have been reprinted are "So Runs the World Away," "Les Fleurs Empoisonnées," and "The Dead and the Moonstruck," which leaves "The Daughter of the Four of Pentacles," "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Ghoul," and now "Night Games in the Crimson Court." And perhaps two more about Dead Girl and Bobby. I would certainly buy it.

The colonizing force of the planet Wintelwoodlewix apparently weren't thorough enough. Maybe it was good we were too distracted making documentaries about ourselves...

Spooky proposed we set the four burners on the stove to high and dance about it naked, waving wooden spoons. Likely we shall not.
Pity.

It is great to see these characters at an earlier time period.

I very much enjoyed "Night Games in the Crimson Court." The image of the Bailiff with a black umbrella was nice, and Lady Gris and her machine were very cool.
Turned out, I'm not the alien. Rather, I'm one of the last surviving earthlings, and almost everyone else (including Spooky) are the aliens. But I'm not buying that for a second.
Everything's perfectly all right.
