A Pocketful of Platyπ

I haven't seen much point in writing about the inability to write, as that seems, to me, even duller than writing about writing. That's how it's been the last few days. The will is strong, but the words aren't flowing. Today may be different. We shall see. These things happen. Deadlines are irrelevant. The dry spells happen anyway; fortunately, ( Read more... )

I don't know if you've heard this already, but a new tree has been planted by Lovecraft's grave, with what looks like a piece of bark from the old tree attached to grow in.

In light of that insufferable brick wall of writer's block, I just wanted to chime in and say ... as long as it takes. I'm reading Daughter of Hounds right now and loving every minute of it. In fact, I'm drawing it out because I don't *really* want it to end. I'm trying to keep it down to half an hour a day but that may not actually work. I've hit the middle and I want to see what happens next. I want to know!

So, as long as it takes because things like this deserve the time they require.

I am glad I don't have to bug you to see this movie, but if you haven't seen the faux trailer for HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN that I posted on my LJ yesterday, you should. Things like this are why I'm glad we have the internet.

Sorry this is coming so late, but I wanted to let you know I’m really enjoying “Nest” … still. It’s become a part of my house. I’ve got it hanging - framed - just inside my office door, so I can pause and read a line or a strophe whenever I’m coming or going.

I’m curious, did “Nest” get you started writing more poetry? Is there any chance we’ll see a collection sometime soon?

Also, let Spooky know Raven Red’s adapting well to his new home. (Although, some stuff has taken up missing around the house - a couple buttons, a turkey neck, a box of condoms, our cat’s left eye - and I do occasionally catch him staring out the window, up at the Pacific Northwest sky.)

I want Adrien Brody to play the Joker.

So badly.

I trust Christopher Nolan, but... Heath Ledger?

No. Adrien Brody. Now.
