My only significant gripe with the film was what I have decided to call The Tsunami Problem.

My problem was The Meteor Problem. As in, what the hell happened to that awfully kryptonian-looking meteor from the very beginning of the movie?

Stopping a tsunami might have seemed a little too much of a "superfeat" for the film to have credibly tolerated (however factual the Tsunami might have been), given how understated most of the action was.

They "hid" it, and no, I wasn't satisfied with that either. I pretty much enjoyed watching the film, which I always take pains to tell people is different from the film itself being as good as even some of Bryan Singer's X-Men films. But as sheer nostalgic tribute, it was loads of fun, and I wouldn't mind seeing Superman Returns a second time.
