Addendum: In which I have reached THE END.

At about 6 p.m. (Caitlín Standard Time), I finally finished the first draft of "Bainbridge." It is done. Now I get a couple of days off, the first real days-off I've had in weeks. Spooky's taking me to the Georgia Aquarium tomorrow (you'll recall that I didn't get to go on Xmas). There will be fish. And squids. And stuff. My thanks to everyone who ( Read more... )

How odd. Murder of Angels was one of the few books of yours I didn't have, so when I saw the price, I snapped it right up. I went to work today to find the package - I'd been charged $4.99 for the book (I verified this with my credit card), and on the back was a big white sticker with a new barcode labeled "Amazon Bargain Book $4.99". Well, maybe I slipped in under the wire, before they found the mistake. I guess praying to Dagon all these years finally paid off. About time....

Salem is nice. We spent Halloween there, with lovely warmish weather. Great ambience and friendly people.

I'd certainly love to go back and visit again.

I figured I would post this here, as the other post is getting a little large with all the comments. I snapped this with my camera phone this morning. http://idioglossia.typepad.com/photos/moblog/pix006_1.html This is what I woke up to this morning. Once you get used to the cold, the snow makes it all worth while. I wish I had a few shots from up the road a bit. The scenery of all the trees covered perfectly in a blanket of snow was just beautiful.

Ah, so the snow did happen somewhere. We were prepared for it, and got absolutely none along the coast. The central and western parts of the state always seem to get the most snow ~ especially in Worcester county...

Caitlyn ~ have fun at the aquarium! I went to the Monterrey Aquarium this summer in California, and it was ~perfection~. Well, near perfection; the giant octopus was feeling reclusive, but many of it's smaller, more ethereal cousins were floating like ghosts in the water.

Yeah, that's the way it seems to be. I'm out on the edge of western Mass in Adams, about twenty minutes from the Vermont border, so we get lots of snow this time of year. In fact, we get lots of snow until about the end of April. But, still, with all of that, we get to experience the four seasons wonderfully, which you surely know. There's nothing like autumn in New England.
