I think they are too busy rioting against immigrants in the UK to give a crap about anything else. I knew it was markedly racist here but I didn't realise that it was as bad as the US. I haven't seen anything about defunding the police though I do think massive military weapons are unnecessary for police officers. I did when I lived there and I still do. They had portable prison towers at the Wal-mart in Statesville, NC. 2000...how hey-go-mad must that have gone in the last twenty-odd years? Mad enough that all of my friends voted for he-who-shall-not-be-named and some of them still support him in spite of himself. And that's enough politics for me.
