Very sunny today. Our high was 86F.

Getting back on my feet. Today I dealt with backed-up correspondence, which was threatening to topple over and smother me in 1s and 0s. I went outside for some Vitamin D. I rewrote the Bright Dead Star flap copy for Bill, because the flap copy I wrote on May 16th sorta stunk. It came out much better this time. ( Read more... )

I'm right in the middle of Gen X and couldn't agree more. We had a sense of freedom and independence from an early age that just didn't translate into later generations. I can recall being gone from the house for the whole day as a kid during the summer with no one knowing quite where I was and "be home when the streetlights come on" was the norm.
