Warm today, though it would have felt warmer had it not also been somewhat overcast. The high was 73F.

My office window stayed open a couple of hours.

Today was maginally better than yesterday. I worked on revising the introduction to Bright Dead Star.

I don't know about the TikTok ban. It feels like it is being made a scapegoat for the sins of social media in general. Facebook, youtube and the website formerly known as Twitter are just as bad (or worse), but are owned by billionaires with American citizenship therefore do not (for no good reason) merit the same regulation.

As far as good news goes, at least Barbie was snubbed by the Oscars and all the awards (costuming, production design) it might have been expected to win went to a much more deserving flick (Poor Things)
