Cloudy most of the day. Maybe a little rain. The heat has broken. The high was only 82˚F. It's currently 77˚F, with the heat index at 79˚F.

Because I'm that guy... there was a sort of shared world with the Brat Packers (Bret Easton Ellis, Jay McInerney, Tama Janowitz and a few others) that touches Tartt's world. Ellis's novel Rules of Attraction ('87) mentions the weird classics students, from Tartt's The Secret History ('92). They were classmates at Bennington.

Those are some nice spines. Is that The Sketchbook of Geoffrey Crayon? I love that book.
