Another day of miserable weather. Heavy rain. The temperature is currently 44˚F, with the windchill at 41˚F.

i'm so far 3-4 episodes in to this season of 'the Ranch.' It has been heart wrenching, geez - and the rest of the episodes are also dark even w. the baby about to be birthed?
I had also wondered where the story arc was supposed to go before Rooster's departure - thinking the baby, etc, would make it... well, not like this! Rainy, cold wkend, I guess it'll be my binge TV. Seeing Sam Elliot and Debra Winger broken w. grief may change my decision to finish this wkend.

Speaking of PO Boxes, where might one send cards to you if they were so inclined to do so?

I'm really glad to hear the Centipede Press edition of The Red Tree is still going to happen. Their edition of The Drowning Girl was a thing of beauty and I'm sure they will once again deliver.

While I'm generally supportive of efforts to re-analyse our society in different lenses to see what we can glean from it, I agree about the "Baby, It's Cold Outside" thing.

What disheartens me is the black-and-white, almost Cultural Revolution air of "If you disagree with one side about one issue, that means you are a card-carrying member of the other side." I don't take terrible umbrage with the idea of re-evaluating popular songs, I just find it hard to understand what things are exempt from analysis. And I've never, ever found myself on the side of banning anything, much less certain types of music. It smacks far too much of the Tipper Gore/Parents Music Resource Center grilling rock stars for "satanism" and calling for them to be banned from the airwaves.

On a lighter note, I'm heartily enjoying the Dinosaur Tourist thus far. :)
