Bring Back Busy Signals

It was a little sunny a short while ago, but it's overcast now, as it was when I woke about 9 a.m. Currently, it's only 79˚F, with the heat index at 82˚F. There was rain in the night, I think.

Re: busy signals. I was having a conversation with a friend recently about sounds that "kids these days" don't know, or we're getting too old for this world, something like that. I noted that the sound of a telephone busy signal and the particular clink of a glass bottle coming out of a vending machine are endangered if not extinct. The whoosh of a vacuum tube delivering something in an office building - used to love those, too.
