Clouds today. They say we will have thunderstorms. Currently, it's 61˚F, here on the last day of September.

We spent most of yesterday trying to make the OCR thing work on the Silk pages. The problem has been getting rid of orphans and widows and graphics in the files. But Spooky thinks maybe she's figured it out. I also attempted a first go at a ( Read more... )

I wish you could say "Fuck Trump" and not, you know, sound like you want to fuck Trump.

Even worse to me are the "Love Trumps Hate" signs which too often read for me like "Love Trump's Hate".

Having to narrow down the selections put into the "Best of" collection sounds like a giant headache, especially in situations when choosing from small clusters of stories like the ones you named. I would go with "Bradbury Weather" over "Riding the White Bull" and "Galápagos" if it were something I had any right to make the choice over, but it's because the story personally resonated with me more than the others. The worldbuilding of 23rd century colonial Mars, the differing relationships that Mikaela and the MC had with Sailor, the reread enjoyment factor, and the general increased memorability of that story compared to the other two. I enjoy them all, but "Bradbury Weather" is the only one I've read many times and keep going back to every so often.

I don't expect my explanation here to impact your decision making process hypothetical or actual, but I did wish to convey my thoughts on the pieces to you regardless, as a long-time reader and fan. Take it as you wish.
