My husband wondered where the anger was this morning. I am numb in fear and horror, knowing we've only begun to see the worst to come and how many loved ones are to be targeted and affected. He thought I'd be rabid w. rage and I am quiet and worrying him.

When I lose my ACA medical ins, it is literally a death sentence for me.

I think I am done as an American writer. I know I am done as an American. I feel as if everything I have written is a lie.

I don't think it was a lie to be the kind of American you thought the ideals of the country claimed and deserved. It did not make you a false American. It does not. I am upset that the country could not live up to its own standards: that the America it chose is the worst version of itself. I am upset at all the history that ran this way.
