I loved Black Helicopters and greatly look forward to Agents of Dreamland.

Thursday night we watched Francis Ford Coppola's adaptation of S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders (1983), which I'd not seen since it was in theaters, the years after I left high school.

Ah, so this was probably the first time you saw it with Coppola's preferred score. I only watched it for the first time in any form a couple years ago and I was surprised to read that the theatrical release had a score partly composed by his father which he threw out for the DVD and Blu-Ray release because he was finally able to use the songs he didn't have rights to in the 80s. I thought the music was such a fantastic part of creating the time and place, it's hard to imagine it with an orchestra score. I wonder if the film would've done better at the box office if it'd had the proper music.

Here's four photos from the beach

Very nice pictures.

Glad that you were able to enjoy some of Moonstone Beach sans people...especially the colors as the wave crests just beyond the stones (third photograph). The teeming masses and their idiot momentum of history are not worthy of sights or moments like that. Thank you.

I wanted to love The Outsiders but Matt Dillon as Dallas just didn't work. The rest of the casting was great.

Thank you for the beach pictures. I miss being by water.
