"But don't you come here and say I didn't warn you about the way your world can alter."

Somehow, I made it to this side of yesterday. The day is overcast, and it's currently 44˚F. At least it's warmer than yesterday.

At least.

For now, the anger has ebbed. I'm just tired and depressed and a little strung out.

Bill Schafer has given me permission to add two or three additional stories to Beneath an Oil-Dark Sea, and I know one will ( Read more... )

Jupiter Ascending is gorgeous in many scenes, which one would expect of the Wachowskis. What surprised me was how much comedy there was, but I think it didn't detract from the more action/space opera aspects of the story. I certainly enjoyed the film for what it was and I'm sure you and Spooky will as well.

As usual, nice pics - the one of Spooky could grace the cover of a good horror novel.

Wonderful news about additional stories in the collections. I much prefer physical books, so the more stories in that form the happier I am. One of these days I intend to get all of the Sirenia Digests bound in sequential volumes (assuming you don't object).

Speaking of stories, I've been meaning to check that you received my copyright waiver/reassignment form I sent to your mailbox at the beginning of the year.

I wasn't to happy with Interstellar. There have been these two movies I've seen, but forgot their names, so I can't find them. One was a about the witch hunting in the Middle Ages. The witch hunting movie asked the question who was worse, the witch hunters who tortured innocent women,or the innocent women who were used for political gain. The other movie was based on John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath. In the far future the human race loses our sun, but not Earth. We, the human race, drive the Earth around a over populated Universe, looking for a home to call out own. All through the movie, the human race get jobs here and there. We take this money, and fix up the environmental damage to the only home we will ever have. All the children in the movie ask, "Why did we destroy the only home we will ever have?" I've checked the movie data bases. Can't find either movie. I think the tag line for Interstellar was: The Earth was our birth place, it was never meant to be our grave. I'm pretty sure it's going to be both.

It is good to see the view from the cabin window without the oppressive sea of white. I am glad you got to see it this way. Thanks for sharing that view, along with the news of possible additions to Beneath an Oil-Dark Sea. The history of the chaise is a trip; love the picture of you sitting on it, also the silhouette of Kathryn.
