"And Doctor Bliss slipped me a Preparation..."

We're back in Providence. We made it in about 7:30 last night. We got Italian takeout, then, despairing at the state of this house, lay in front of the television watching The West Wing until 2 a.m. (= 4 episodes). Toby and CJ always help a little. Currently, it's sunny and 39˚F (on April 1st), and we may reach 48˚F today (on April 1st). ( Read more... )

It sounds as if Woodstock was a welcome respite, and I am in awe of Hubero, kitty on a leash. Glad you made it back safely to Providence, however cold and desolate it is. The camaraderie of The West Wing cast was remarkable, but CJ was my favorite; I will absolutely never forget the name Marion Coatsworth Hay (or their scene together) as long as I shall live. And boo to Cthulhu as a Jack Kirby super-villain.

edited for Spellcheck not having liked the name "Hay"

A hearty combination of "yes" and "thank you" to those comments.

Toby has become a role model of mine.

Thanks, I appreciate that much. My wacky work-shifts and (attempted) sleep schedule out in the Pacific timezone don't always facilitate daily commenting. But I do read, and you are welcome.

It might be 60 whole degrees here in Providence on Friday! (Of course, it will then drop down to 50 or below for the weekend.)

The cats absolutely refused to accept we were leaving.

I sympathize. That is some excellent sunlight they had there.

The end of cold? I might move back to CO from PA. It has been nightmarishly cold here. Teens. Single Digits. CO not exactly a respite. N Carolina yes. CO no.

Tonight I dug into the garage and pulled out a sculpture that has been lying in a box unseen for 6 years. It is a Bruce Bowman life size Archaeopteryx. Perhaps the highlight of my collection. Needs painted, which I can not afford. Primer grey. Beautiful.

Movie: Spring. A very Lovecraftian love story. I hate love stories. This one happens to involve a female lead who is a 2000 yr old monster. The monster element is background. Happens to occasionally sprout tentacles.
