"Walk in the way of my soft resurrection."

The sun is bright today, the sky is blue. I don't want to be sitting here. I want to breathe in deeply and taste clean air. I want to smell the sea, a forest, stone, sweat, hot asphalt. The world. Anything but this dusty room. It's only 48˚F out there, and that should be plenty enough to keep me from wanting to step out of doors, but it isn't ( Read more... )

My thanks to sovay for sharing this dream with me

It was a very lovely dream. I hope someday to visit you in a house with trees on the lawn.

(The Dimetrodon would be a bonus.)

I enjoyed reading "Andromeda Among the Stones" this afternoon. It's a good story and has a certain weight to it.

A note on not changing the clocks - my husband's grandfather would not change time and is still well remembered for his stance. He would say 'your time or my time' if needing to make a set time to meet someone. As a life long farmer, he was firm in his knowledge of how the cows and cotton didn't care about clocks.

Halloween afternoon the weather turned peculiar and I mentioned to my husband how it felt like the beginning of "Something Wicked This Way Comes" in the sense of foreboding in the air.

I gave a nod to Ray Bradbury but before returning to the house it occurred to me the color and feel of the sky was actually carnivorous in description. A nod to you for the description after recognizing my first carnivorous sky. Thank you.

I happen to actually have a life size head reproduction of a Dimetrodon attached to a wood plaque which hangs on my wall like a trophy mount. It's big. Sculpted by Keith Strasser, it has glass eyes meant for a Jaguar that look awesome. As yet unpainted. Bob Bakker. Houston museum.
Have fun in DC-
