I haven't seen this yet - Im gonna treat myself tonight after a long day of getting my house together. I have every Hellblazer comic ever written including Alan Moore's swamp Thing origin and am also buying the new "52" also called Constantine. Yeah you could say I like the character. I'm dismayed he cant smoke - that's ridiculous! Matt Ryan sure looks EXACTLY like I would picture JC so that's good - I normally am a fan of Keanu. I may just watch that film again tonight as well. Tilda is always welcome but its Peter Stormare as Lucifer and Djimon Hounsou as Papa Midnite that really knocked it out of the park. Also looking forward to Harold Perrinau as the angel in this as the current comic angel JC talks to is drawn a lot like him! This show and Gotham (which I'm liking) are the 2 shows this season I couldn't wait for!

The smoking thing is NBC's inane policy. So I guess NBC will never show reruns of shows from the days of big tobacco advertising. I really wish FX or HBO or AMC or anyone except SLY FY ( might just as well NBC owns Sly-FY.) In an interview the producers of the show said that Constantine does smoke but they just could not show it. But at least the show is based on the classic series and not today's watered down version. I agree the pacing was a little to fast for the premier. Whatever happened to 90 minute or 2 hour premiers?

We made it through five seasons of Sons of Anarchy in less than three weeks. I became seriously hooked, somewhere early in Season Two.

A coworker had recommended the series, but I got mired in the first couple episodes. It sounds like it is well worth moving past Season One. I will give it another try, thanks.
