"How will you know if you found me at last?"

We seem to have settled into low eighties as a matter of course.

Yesterday was a nightmare. Later today, I may make another entry devoted to yesterday.

All subscribers should have Sirenia Digest #102. This month I'm offering a special on Sirenia Digest. Since we're already several chapters into the serialization of The Five of Cups, anyone who ( Read more... )

I miss blue editing pencils. I abhor editing on a computer; I usually print the "manuscript" and edit by hand, then (only if needs be) scan it in and email it back.

I still use blue and red editing pencils. The present can blow me.

That cover is definitely the worst of the three. It's the exact opposite of what Quinn represents.

I said something like that.

It's just a shitty pararom cover.

It is a really fine issue. I hope people notice "The Cats of River Street (1925)."

If Neil can write a book with a fountain pen, I can write one with a typewriter.

And this I just approve of. I hope you can.

It's a punch of pages printed from some Microsoft programme, with oblique comments in a margin on the right.

Oh, that's sketchy.

"THE CATS OF RIVER STREET" is one of my favourites of the stories you've written. I love how well the sense of time and place comes across through the things of the period which the characters are obviously familiar and intimate with. And I love how those things also serve the ideas at work of evolution and old, bitter, stubborn things. Really well done.

Oh, and if you follow that link above, you can see the hideous fucking cover.

I guess you could've called it Eggplant Bomb.
