Yesterday, Dark Horse made the official announcement that there will be a third Dancy mini-series, to be drawn by Joëlle Jones, with whom I very much look forward to working. The brilliant Greg Ruth is returning as cover artist. Publication of #1 is set at May 20th, 2015. Regular readers here know that I'll be writing the series in September and ( Read more... )

Yep, I stopped mid-sentence, realizing this was headed nowhere.

It seemed like a nice beginning to me but I understand.

as has been pointed out my editors, I don't write stories about cats.

There was the comic about Bast and I feel like--I guess the width and breadth of my memory's not incalculable--I feel like you wrote a homage to Edgar Allan Poe's "The Black Cat"? In any case, stories about cats from you is an exciting prospect.

There was Bast, and there was also my favorite issue of The Dreaming, "The First Adventure of Miss Catterina Poe" (about Poe's cat). But I'm not counting my comics work.

"The First Adventure of Miss Catterina Poe" (about Poe's cat).

Ah, that's right. I guess it's been twelve or so years since I read it but I do remember it being very good. I should read it again.

I saw the news on Facebook, but congratulations here anyway! It deserves more than a "like."

She has thought these thoughts and has fancied immemorial Father Leviathan as asexual as a sea star, a sponge, or flatworm, spawning his children from fragments of himself broken free during mighty hurricanes. Then each bit would germinate in its own time, borne round about the globe on currents, countercurrents, undercurrents, by thermohaline circulation and tropical upwellings.

I like these lines no matter what. But I like the sound of "The Cats of River Street (1925)" as well.

I've also begun work with Centipede Press on a collection of my "mythos" fiction, to be titled Houses Under the Sea: Mythos Tales.

Oh, that's wonderful news. I am already looking forward to that.

I am glad the Lamictal is working.

"The Cats of River Street (1925)" as well.

It's a good title.

Oh, that's wonderful news. I am already looking forward to that.

We've been planning it since sometime last year, when I actually sold the book to CP.

Exciting news from Centipede Press re. both The Drowning Girl and the Mythos collection. I am sure both will be handsome editions.
