I doubt I'll actually do any writing today, but thanks.

So, here's a surrogate, at National Geographic: Snakeless in Ireland: Blame Ice Age, Not St. Patrick.

I will raise a glass to the snakes, real and metaphorical.

I do wish they'd found a score equal to Vangelis'.

Oh, somehow I didn't realise he composed the score to the original. Anyway, it's nice to hear the new Cosmos is good, I'll check it out.

Not the entire score, but much of it. It definitely shaped the tone of the series.

The only major institution that avoids link rot is the Vatican: links from 15 years ago still work fine. Every other major institution I can think of has problems with it.

That's sort or disturbing, but not surprising.

Thanks for the link. I believe I'll just put the whole thing in my journal, so I'll have it.

I'm anxious to see what you'll come up with in THE DINOSAURS OF MARS. As Winter recedes I hope the words you need thaw out and find you. (I know that's a strange sentence.)

This project has been sitting on the "To Do" list since 2006. It'll be bizarre to se it actually happen.
