So, yeah. I wish I liked it more, but I don't. That's my opinion as well; although I was wary from the outset based on my not liking "Came Back Haunted" all that much. But about half the album is good for me, the rest I will likely skip in future plays. Then again, I felt the same way about The Slip.

It was a "fun" piece to write.
It's a very fine expansion of your original ghûl mythology in some new and wonderful directions. I know they do not belong to quite the same universe as one another, but I'd still love to see it included a collection of stories like "Pickman's Other Model," "The Thousand-and-Third Tale of Scheherazade," and "The Belated Burial."

Then I found myself listening to it all the goddamned time because the Casio flatness suddenly seemed impossibly illustrative of all the inchoate emptiness and permanent deja vu.
You seem to have found meaning where all I found was annoyance and disappointment.
