Having just watched TTT yesterday, it was especially fun to listen to this, as some of what Treebeard says here made it into the movie. I love the line 'I am not altogether on anybody's side because nobody is altogether on my side, if you understand me.' So Treebeard-ish. Thank you! And I'm glad you got it worked out so you can participate!

I could listen all day to your Treebeard. Wonderfully read. And this is such an amazing passage, in terms of story-telling, too. Tolkien gives us so much background information here, told by Treebeard. I wonder about these days when Saruman still walked Fangorn with respect.
