Voting day!

Tell me that you voted, US o' A-ers!

If you didn't vote, what are you waiting for?!

Come on. If I can vote while living in Japan, and now in Scotland, how hard can it be while still in the States?

Dooooo iiiiiiiiitttttt.

I argued in favor of voting in the comments after this entry. It has some typos, alas, which I noted in the comments below ( Read more... )

I voted! I reminded my neighbor, who I half-suspect wasn't planning on it, too.

To you I accord 1 year of unbroken harp strings!

small print: 1 year = 365 days, not necessarily consecutive.

Truly your coolness is beyond mortal belief!

You have earned the right to play in as many LARPs as you wish, as well as the opportunity to visit me in Edinburgh. ;-)

Of course I voted! AND I got my father to vote for the first time ever! AND he voted the way I "suggested" him to vote, so that was even better =) Therefore, I'm taking credit for the fact that Massachusetts was the only state in the nation to have a complete Democratic sweep =P

Huzzah for voting! Although ideally your father will not only vote in the future but also consider the issues and make an informed, independant decision about them . . .

Your reward is a whole parade of Saiunkoku chibis, and cake!

Well, I did explain all the issues and said why he should vote the way I said... He liked the democrats better to begin with anyway, so it was mostly explaining the ballot questions. And considering that he's been battling cancer for the past 6 months, the fact that he even went at all was a huge accomplishment!

So how long will you be in Scotland? When did you move there?

Acceptable, then! I hereby accord you a further mountain of mitarashi dango, and your father a shiny hero ribbon!

. . . er, a ribbon's not that great, I know, but I don't really know what he'd like better . . .

I'm here in Scotland for the full year, so through next summer. After that I'll be job hunting. Arrived back in the beginning of September. :-)
