I remain hopelessly behind with journal entries. Wow, I'm really bad at this. I just don't have time, that's what it comes down to. Once I could stay up as late as necessary, no matter how tired I was. Now, if I'm that tired, I sleep. I can't help it, my body refuses to go any longer. I sit down, and it turns off

All three of these are just great. I love the Emrys-Nghia one in particular - especially seeing them from the perspective of a small, slightly brainwashed little boy - but I think my favorite line of the three is "Searched with the thin, brittle patience of one who has no time for patience, with the iron determination of one beyond desperation."

that's the kind of line I read and think, damn, I want to have written that line.

I'm glad you enjoyed. And that the fact that Emrys was messing with Tor's head came through, because Tor was kinda noticing-without-noticing, and it was fairly hard to write it.

And as for the last, well, that's a high compliment indeed, and I am honored.
