I've been reading rumours of a Season Six for Supernatural. While I can understand everyone's trepidation about that, I must say, I'm delighted, if that in fact is true and likely to eventuate

I'm also the type of person who doesn't realise I've eaten too much until AFTER the third bowl of icecream. But I just want to keep eating up Supernatural and everything surrounding it until my belly hurts. Then... and maybe not even then... I'll be ready to stop! :D :D :D
I certainly think that the writing team has more than demonstrated it could go another round. As to what next season brings? I know people re all "kripke said he had a 5 year plan!" but he also said he had that when he didn't even know if he'd get 2 years let alone 6! He also said he'd never have angels. I mean the show is a growing organic thing. As far as I know they've actually written up to at least 5.18 at present, so they have prob 3 or 4 eps to lay the ground work for s6 if they get the go ahead now.
personally I'm happy whether we end now or at S6. there hard part won't be the show, it will be how my part in fandom changes.
Yes, me too (possibly to lesser extent, because I'm not quite such a fixture!). I love how everything's going, I'm not ready for change yet, even though I've kind of been bracing myself for a while now.
Oh, I was just about to do a post saying... exactly this. Now I guess I don't need to bother *folds arms petulantly* especially since my post would in all likelihood have not used the words 'besmirched' or 'cojones'.
I'm with you. I'll be delighted to have a sixth season. I can't get enough of them. It's not like it's unsullied perfection that can only be besmirched, not improved. Every time the 'omg, the show will be ruined' comes up as an argument against sixth season I smile. It's not like people aren't complaining already and very loudly that the show's ruined. So I'm with you on this.
I really love how the show keeps on developing and going in utterly unforseen new directions. I love it, and I think it would have to get REALLY DREADFUL for me to stop loving it. And I can't see that happening, so, bring it on, bb!
I definitely want a season 6. Though the one thing that gives me pause is so far Season 5 has not, to my mind, been as strong as Season 4. Which might indicate that Kripke is running out of gas, or that he's holding back. But in any case, the first part of the season really felt like it was floundering around to me - like he was wasting precious time to build a powerful story. Makes me wonder even more what he would do for the year after the apocalypse.
OTOH, I can't see why the CW would want to cancel it - it's one of their highest rated shows, it just won the People's Choice award for best sci-fi show, and DVD sales were incredibly brisk this year when they came out.
I think that it could go two ways. On one hand, it could give a really realistically good run at a proper Apocalypse. Something more global perhaps. I could be super awesome. That's what I'm hanging out for.
:-) I hope the decision won't be solely a financial one!

YES ON PROP 6. I'm totally not ready for this all to be over. It just seems premature! It may always be so, but especially now.
