Our end of term show is up-and-running. In this one I've been director's assistant, and I'm lighting operating, which is something that I really enjoy doing: it's kind of technical but musical at the same time, I'm working on the rhythm of the perfect slow-fade! I love DG - one 'greatest hit' after another, and all the different relationships play out so distinctly in the music, and the 'maskers trio' and the sextet both examples of perfection in characterization and - what do you think? Leporello/Giovanni - the original erotically co-dependent OTP?

Earthquakes are so creepy. The ground is not meant to move. We have a lot of minor quakes, the occasional major shaker and the ever-present threat that The Big One is coming, but we've had nothing to compare with your continuous major and semi-major rattling. Minor damages gradually get worse; isn't it time the faults equalize and things settle down for you folks? My thoughts and sympathies are with you!!
