Suzanne and I went to the dentist last week for what was, for me, the first time in over a decade. I was expecting a lot of "ZOMG!! Cavities! Crooked wisdom teeth! If becoming a drunken mess isn't at all regular, I doubt you have a problem with the sauce, but sometimes it's good just to step away for a breather anyway. Other than an occasional drink for heart health, it does little but fill you with empty calories, practically speaking.
Sounds like you had a great time. I'm jealous!

I don't think I have a problem with alcohol, but given a genetic predisposition to err, erring on the side of caution seems the safer route.

Sharpen my skates and call me Gretzky, then, 'cause that's exactly what I did this year! In no small part thanks to you, btw, for taking part in my barely-cooked what-the-hell-is-this "playtest". I guess that really only counts as "playing about games with friends", but that's pretty close. It was still fun (for me) and I appreciate you and Nathan dropping by (and the wives for sitting around).
I also had a fucking blast spinning the Secret Room party.
My big regret this year was missing you (again). My lame excuse: Sunday night after the "playtest" I got roped into helping run someone else's LARP, and the next thing I knew it was 8:00 in the morning.
