I love you. Have I ever told you that? No? Well, I do. And I think we may share a brain, although mine's awake at 4am so you may not want to share that part.

DO NOT TALK TO ME ABOUT THE DITCH BIT IN 5X02. I actually cannot comprehend it without turning into a goopy mess of 'shipper-romance-OMG. I'm watching from the beginning at the moment, and to be reminded how far they come and then the way it ends - because you know Barbara's entertained thoughts but pushed them aside, but it's there, in mud and gross stuff and what-have-you, that this stuffy Lord type realises he'd be nothing without this little ball of fire.

And it kills me. Everytime. And I just love them. And will go to bed now.

Even taken out of the context of the rest of the series, that bit in the ditch is amazing. There aren't words in the English language for what his face is doing there, and it's DARK, for crying out loud. And with the rest of the series, holy crap. I got knocked over sideways by 4x04, but this episode is my favorite, and it's mostly for that.

...MY HEART.

I feel a picspam coming on. A really epic and stupidly shippish one.

(WHY ON EARTH WOULD I DO THAT?)

Fun fact! Every time I see that icon, it takes me a split-second to realize that that isn't the TARDIS door that Barbara's poking her head around. I...don't really know where that's coming from, but it's giving me crossover ideas.

It's either the money, or they're using the show to facilitate their epic affair, I DON'T EVEN KNOW ANYMORE.

SVU: the ER of cop shows.

I would suggest they drive a tank into the precinct next season, but they've already blown it up.

With a pizza.

It's interesting to see what people think about the Wire in the Blood books. I've read all 5 books, and personally, I find the TV show much better. Like you said, it's all the looks and gestures and the constant close proximity between Tony and Carol in the show that make them so amazing. Plus, Hermione Norris and Robson green have bloody incredible chemistry. So.

Also? The books are all rather squicky with all the blood and guts and general yuckiness. And emo!Tony grows annoying in the books, so you're not missing too much by not reading the rest of them.

I was seriously uncomfortable reading the first book in the coffeeshop, is how disturbing it was. I probably won't ever read the others - after I read about what happens to Carol in them, they got a lot less appealing. :(
