The night was clear, thank the Gods. The sky so dark only the light of the half moon illuminated the backyard, stars spotting the sky like bits of glitter and gold. The soft yellow and green glow from the windows of the house hardly reach out to the lawn, green blades of grass cool to the touch. Anna stood beneath the back awning, sipping at a ( Read more... )

*Salazar quietly makes the scene, gently shutting the door behind him. The night was so still and calm, sans the ocassional whisper of cool wind across the garden; it hardly seemed right to have his arrival break the silence. Instead, he wordlessly walked up next to Anna, taking up the other goblet of red wine on the patio table that was apparently intended for him. He was glad she was not bothered by the fact that they had to come with him on this visit. Not that he expected her to object; it was just that it was either bring them along or leave them with The Hands. And they had been a mite testy lately after their recent embarrassment of being turned into turtles and leaving them with perfect little targets to take their anger out on didn't sound like a wise choice at the moment. Their anger was only fueled further by the fact their master had given them orders to stay behind. When The Hands couldn't trail after Salazar to carry out their duty to protect him, they got cranky ( ... )
