Since everyone is always complaining about how much they hate advertising. I thought that I would post some of the more creative examples of advertising that transcend the often crass, brash, and tasteless world of marketing.

I would love to see us create ads specifically for LiveJournal, instead of just using the crap agencies spit out. I think we could target certain groups of people on LJ and create cool ads for them, of course then we would have to get the companies and their ad agencies to buy into them.

Excellent idea. We do this with the sponsored communities already. We come up with the concept, design and content, which is why the perform so well.
