It's a Canon Powershot A480, apparently. I tried to research when I bought it for Bloke's birthday last year, but got so bogged down in reviews that I just walked into Jessops and bought the one that wasn't a Sony!!
It's very, very poor in indoor, artificially lit conditions - grainy and blurry etc, but in good, natural light it's great and in bright sunshine it's fantastic.
ROFL. The icon is a picture of a famous sculpture, Claes Oldenburg's Spoonbridge and Cherry, which is considered a sort of icon for the city of Minneapolis. I like this particular picture, because everything's covered in snow (which is also iconic of the city of Minneapolis, lol).
We didn't get nearly as much snow as we usually do this year, but what we did get is still around. I am starting to see a bit of a thaw though, so spring might be in the air here as well. *fingers crossed*
Wow! That is a great sculpture - I could only really make out the cherry and spoon before (I was tired!) and it looked like fruit great-escaping from yoghurt. Um, reality makes a little more sense!
Didn't think I was getting as many snow horror stories from my Canadian/N. American flistees this year - mind, there's still time, I guess. I'll keep quiet so as not to tempt fate...
'S funny, but all of our snowdrops are the same type, front and back, except for one, tiny patch of them in the middle of one half of the lawn! I should have tried to get a snap of them, too. Maybe tomorrow, except the weather is one of the many things you can never rely upon in Britain...
Nature rocks. Insects wow me every time (even the ones that also terrify me.) They come in every colour of the rainbow, and look like how enamel badges wish they could.

Can I be super geeky and ask what camera you have?

The ladybird is clearly a professional model - look at its chosen position!

We still have about six inches of snow on the ground, so it may be a while before the flowers are out. :)

Six inches of snow? Times like this I'm glad to be in England where even the weather can't really be bothered for long!!
