Writer's Block: More Island Time

Mar 03, 2009 18:22

We start with the practical, a book on local flora/fauna and what you can eat, vs what is poisonous. Your basic survival guide. We then put the complete works of William Shakespeare in our book bag.

I can not think of a third book....

desert island, books, writer's block

How about the complete works of H.G. Wells and the complete works of Jules Verne?

Or Sir Conan Arthur Doyle.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle perhaps, the other two are okay, but not something I could read over and over.

Two others I would consider would be the collected works of Dumas, pere et fils or the complete Waverley Novels by Walter Scott.

Oh wait, I have the Waverley Novels, all 16 volumes. I should read them (I inherited them from my grandmother, though I think they might still be at my parents house).

1. Boat Building for Dummies or equivalent.
2. The Art of Ham Radio License Manual
3. SAS Survival Handbook

I'll happily trade the last two books for 200 feet of 14 gauge copper wire and a magnet.
