Ohhhh, yeah -- I totally enjoyed this. Eliot teaching self-defense, Sophie in a sports bra, and sweaty matt sex? Always a fan. Also, your Sophie voice is brilliant.

There will never be enough Sophie/Eliot fic -- the possibilities are endlessly sexy.

This...was absolutely wonderful!

I love the way you wove this fic together. Sophie's voice was absolutely perfect through and through. I've done a year or two of aikido and I think you nailed that on the head as well. Take it from a person who knows a little about the sport, it really adds leaps and bounds to a fic like this when you get the facts spot on. Great fic all around, thanks for sharing!

I like the way Sophie's voice comes out for me, but I'm still trying to find an Eliot voice. He's so brusque most of the time! And I have to say, I'm so glad to know you like the way I've handled the aikido aspect. I studied it ages and ages ago - seriously, almost twenty years - and within the last month have picked it back up again at a local dojo. I'm far from truly knowledgeable, though. It does a lot for me that I think Sophie would appreciate, although I didn't pick at that little character tidbit I have in mind for her all that much in this particular fic. It's something along the lines of her regarding her body as just another tool for the grift, and starting to use Eliot's training as a different way to see her body...
