Ooh! Hello :)

Powder Biscuits?? Sounds lovely. I will try and find out about these, since I am in a baking mood! I made flapjacks the other night, which were nice but very crumbly.

Sorry about work stuff being all stressy. I'm the same about being reluctant to raise problems unless I have a solution, so it must have been quite hard for you to actually bring it all up. But its for the best, and hopefully something will be sorted and actioned. :)

Try this recipe, Claire. It's easy and sooooo good. :)
My recipe is 2 cups of flour, 1/2 tsp of salt and 4 tsps of baking powder sifted together. Cut in 5 heaping tbsp of butter or margarine until it looks like corn meal. Add 1/2 cup milk and mix with a fork until the dough comes together and pulls away from the bowl. Pull the dough out and knead on a floured board, 10 to 12 times. You can cut the dough with a cookie cutter or glass about 2 inches across - biscuits between 1/2 and 1 inch high. I tend to spilt the dough into 6 equal parts and shape it with my hands. Bake on a parchment covered baking sheet at 450F for 15 to 20 minutes and eat warm with honey and/or butter.

I've not heard of baking powder biscuits. Are they good? *curious*

I hope things at your job work out for you. Kick someone if you have to ... *hugs*
